The Hasselblad medium format DSLR, H4D-50, uses an extra large sensor with an impressive number of pixels, to support the shallow depth-of-field shooting that characterizes so much high-end shooting, and to provide the ultra-high resolution that meets the most exacting demands of high-end commercial photographers who require the ultimate in both image quality and performance.
Bigger is better
The H4D-50 sports a Kodak 50 Mpixel 36,7 x 49,1mm sensor, which measures twice the physical size of the largest 35mm DSLR sensors, as well as True Focus with APL (Absolute Position Lock) for accurate composing at close range with shallow depth-of-field. The 50 Mpixel sensor provides the foundation for the development of advanced lens performance and optical corrections. By providing a true integrated DSLR experience in a Medium Format camera, the H4D-50 enables photographers to combine the full benefits of professional medium-format digital capture with the ease-of-use found in the best 35mm DSLRs.
Setting the standard for digital photographic quality
